Frequently asked questions
Including the ones a comparison site would rather not be asked.
Does comparing affect my credit score?
No. Browsing and comparing on LendingFounder involves no hard credit inquiry. A hard inquiry can only happen later, if you choose to submit an application directly to a provider.
Is LendingFounder a lender?
No. LendingFounder is a comparison platform. We do not lend, underwrite, or make credit decisions, and we do not decide whether an application is approved.
What does it cost me?
Nothing. Comparing is free for visitors. Where LendingFounder is compensated, it is by providers, and that is disclosed on our advertising disclosure page.
Does compensation change the order of results?
It must not. Where a provider relationship exists it is disclosed. If ordering were influenced by payment, that would be stated plainly rather than buried.
Do you show every provider in the market?
No, and no comparison site does. We show the options available through our network. It is worth checking directly with your own bank as well.
Why do you ask for figures before showing options?
Because eligibility depends on them. Showing you offers you cannot obtain wastes your time and produces a comparison that means nothing.
Will I be called repeatedly after using the site?
No. There is no outbound sales operation attached to this site, and nothing on it is designed to generate a call you did not ask for.
What do you do with what I tell you?
We use it to narrow the options and to answer you. We do not sell contact details on, and there is no outbound sales operation attached to this site.
Something missing?
If the answer is not here, ask us and we will add it. Corrections are welcome too.
