Terms & Conditions
The basis on which this site is provided, and the limits of what it can do for you.
Using the site accepts these terms #
If you use lendingfounder.com you are accepting what is set out here. If you do not accept it, the remedy is straightforward: do not use the site.
Nothing here removes a right the law where you live gives you and does not let us take away. Where a clause below conflicts with such a right, the right wins and the clause does not apply to you.
What this site is #
A comparison and information service for business and personal financing. Everything on it is general information about how products work and what they cost.
Nothing on this site is an offer of credit, insurance, or any other product, and nothing on it is financial, legal, tax or accounting advice. LendingFounder does not lend, underwrite, service loans, sell insurance, repair credit, or negotiate with creditors, and it cannot approve or decline anything.
No relationship is created #
Reading this site, submitting a form, or receiving a comparison from us does not create a client, advisory, agency or fiduciary relationship, and does not entitle you to any product, rate, amount or approval.
We are not acting as your agent or your adviser, and we are not representing your interests to a provider. Any agreement about money is between you and that provider, on their terms.
Accuracy and availability #
We write this material carefully and correct it when it is wrong, but rates, fees, criteria and product terms change constantly and content here may be incomplete or out of date. Verify anything that matters directly with the provider, in writing, before you act on it.
The site is provided as it is, when it is available. We do not undertake that it will be uninterrupted, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.
What you may not do here #
Ordinary use is exactly what you would expect, so this list is short and specific:
- Do not submit a form on someone else's behalf without their knowledge, or give someone else's contact details as your own.
- Do not submit automated, bulk or deliberately false enquiries, or attempt to work around the limit on submissions.
- Do not attempt to gain access to the staff area, any account, or any part of the server not intended for visitors, and do not probe, scan or test its defences without written permission.
- Do not scrape or systematically copy the content, or republish it as your own.
- Do not use the site to break the law, or to send anything unlawful, threatening or malicious.
What you send us #
By submitting a form you confirm that what you have told us is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that you are entitled to give us the details you have given.
You keep ownership of what you send. You give us permission to use it for the purpose you submitted it for, as described in the privacy policy, and for nothing else.
Do not send us sensitive financial identifiers. No form here asks for a Social Security number, bank or card details, and if you put one in a free-text field we will delete it rather than store it.
Intellectual property #
The written content, the analysis and the presentation of this site belong to LendingFounder. You may read it, print it and share a link to it. You may quote a short passage with attribution and a link. You may not republish it wholesale, sell it, or present it as yours.
Product names and marks belonging to other companies appear on this site for identification only. Their appearance is not a claim of affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement in either direction.
Links and third-party providers #
Where this site links to a provider, we are pointing you at them, not vouching for them. Their site, their terms and their privacy policy apply once you are there, and we do not control them.
We are not responsible for what a provider does, for the terms they offer you, for a decision they make about you, or for a dispute between you and them.
No warranty #
To the extent the law permits, this site and everything on it is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
Where the law does not permit that exclusion, our liability is limited to what the law allows and no further.
Limitation of liability #
To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for a financial decision you make after reading this site, for a product you take out, for a rate you are offered or refused, or for indirect or consequential loss including lost profit or lost opportunity.
Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow to be excluded.
This is the honest position rather than a comfortable one: the decision about your money is yours, made with your own advisers, and the information here is an input to it rather than a substitute for it.
Changes to these terms #
We may change these terms. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change accepts it. A change is not applied retroactively to something that already happened.
If part of this fails #
If a clause here turns out to be unenforceable, it is severed and the rest continues to apply. Not enforcing a clause on one occasion does not waive it.
Governing law #
No governing law or forum is specified in this version, because the operating entity behind LendingFounder has not been settled. We would rather say that than name a jurisdiction we cannot stand behind.
In practice this means these terms describe how the site is provided and what we will and will not do, and your statutory rights where you live are unaffected. This section will be completed once the entity is in place.
Something on this page wrong, or a request to make?
Corrections and privacy requests both go through the contact form. A privacy or data request arrives marked as one, so it is not read as a general enquiry.
